The Band of Class is the most visible ensemble within Defiance City Schools, performing at Defiance Bulldog football games, Memorial Day ceremonies, and the annual Defiance Halloween Parade. The band has had the privilege of performing at Disney World, Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California, as well as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. 

The concert band is the second high school wind ensemble on campus. This band focuses on modern wind band pieces accessible for the current high school student. This band is one of the largest ensembles we have in the high schools and they regularly perform at the Ohio Music Education Associations Large Group Adjudicated Event. Many students from this ensemble also choose to participate at solo and ensemble and area honors bands. 

The 7th Grade Varsity Band consists of all 7th Grade students in the middle school. The dive further into the band repertoire and refine their sounds on their individual instruments. This is als the first year that all students perform in chamber ensembles at solo and ensemble, with many also opting to perform a solo. 

The 5th Grade Band is our students first opportunity to play instruments. They learn all the ins and outs of playings and instrument and being in band. These students meet once weekly in groups based on their instrument and twice weekly with the rest of the sections after their lunch.
