Mr. sheller - Head Band Director
Mr. Sheller is in his 5th year of teaching at Defiance. Devin received his Bachelor's of Music Education in 2021 from THE Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). Mr. Sheller was a member of TBDBITL during his time at OSU and has been designing the drill for the Band of Class. A trumpet player by trade, he has performed in the pit for local musicals and directed the pit for the Fort Defiance Players.
Mr. Sheller currently directs the Band of Class Marching Band, High School Symphonic Band, Defiance Jazz Ensemble and oversees all band department activities.

Mr. Kester - ASsitant Band Director
Mr. Kester is in his 8th year of teaching. 6 years at Pettisville Schools, and 2 years at Defiance City Schools. Mr. Kester attended Bowling Green State University where he earned a B.A. in Music Education in 2018 and Masters in Music in 2024. In addition, to teaching at DCS he is an adjunct music faculty at Defiance College. Mr. Kester is also President and active member of District I for the Ohio Music Education Association. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, puzzling, and sharing time with family.
Currently Mr. Kester directs the 8th-Grade "Varsity" Band, High School Concert Band, and Middle School Jazz Band.

Mrs. Jones- Assistant Band Director
Mrs Jones is in her 30th year of teaching. Her first three years of teaching were in Kansas at district #399 which included Natoma, Paradise and Waldo. She then taught in Edgerton for 7 years before coming to Defiance. She attended BGSU- Ay ziggy zoomba!!!!
Mrs Jones currently conducts the 5th grade and 7th grade bands.

Ms. difrango - Assistant Band Director
Ms. DiFrango is in her 2nd year of teaching. Her first year was spent at Alliance City Schools. She received her bachelors of Music Education in 2024 from Ohio University. Outside of work she enjoyscooking, finding opportunities to play percussion, and spending time with animals.
Ms. DiFrango currently conducts the 5th grade and 6th grade band.
